Andy Warhol's work was respected by many people here are some comments from come of his closest friends and family....

John Warhola - He used to say, "Do you know who that as there? i cant get over it", and yet he was far more famous than they were..... he didn't talk so much: he really just wanted to hear somebody else talk.

Madalen Warhola - We would all kneel down and pray with him. Every morning he said his prayers and we would have to say it with him...

Christopher Makos - When Andy was in love the bells were ringing and the birds were chirping. it was a nice time for everybody.

Gavin Turk - I am not the only person to copy Warhol..... there are many artists who have made versions of Warhol.... hes probably the most copied artist ever.

Marty Warhola - Andy said when the steel mills were closing down "Pittsburgh is going to be big into computers and robotics" and sure enough he ended up to being right. Andy definitely had foresight for see into the future.

Gerard Malanga - Andy always played the boy... Andy was never greedy or fey..... People were dawn into his boyish presence.

Nat Finkelstein - He had a unique style of eating pizza which was the same as his unique style of eating people: he sucked the top off and discarded the rest.

David Bailey- With Andy it was always a one way conversation because it was always you who did all the talking. He did the "Oh really?" bit all the time: "Oh really?", "How glamorous", "Oh really?"

Paul Warhola - Philip Pearlstein.... came up to me and he said "Paul, did you know that your brother's a genius and that was the way back in '52! i mean how do you accept something like that?

Brigid Berlin -  Can honestly tell you i have never in my life said an unkind word about Andy - I said i loved him and i did and i always said i thought Andy had the best personality of anyone i knew.

John Giorno - Andy's Signature word was "fabulous", Somehow in the early sixties he got that word.

Billy Name - Warhol was a very shy person and very vulnerable physically. He was also like a black hole: you went to a gallery, or h was there at the factory, and you found yourself drawn to him....
